APS MCC Airline Procedure Standards Multi Crew Cooperation
The APS MCC training course comprises both theoretical and practical elements and includes advanced swept-wing jet airplane training and airline operations scenario training to equip a pilot with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to commence initial type rating training to the standards generally required by a commercial air transport (CAT) operator.
Our experienced APS MCC trainers will equip you with knowledge that you will need to be able to work as a responsible pilot within an airline crew. The training is devided into 40 hours of theoretical knowledge instruction (20 hours APS MCC and 25 hours MCC) as well as 40 hours of simulator training (20 hours APS MCC training and 20 hours MCC training).
Requirements
- valid PPL(A)-IR or CPL(A)-IR
(ATPL theory credit and MEP-IR recommended)

Timeframe within the MCC course:
Theoretical training
40 hours of theoretical knowledge instruction (15 hours APS theory and 25 hours MCC theory) using Videos, CBTs, practical examples.
The following topics will be discussed:
- Glass cockpit displays, Propulsion, Aerodynamics, Flight controls, Performance
- Jet flight planning, Weight and balance, Basic jet flying, Pilot techniques for jet flying, Advanced- handling-skills development
- Check-In Procedures, Pre-Flight, Normal Procedures
Practical training
40 flight hours for each student, which 20 hours as Pilot Flying PF and 20 hours as Pilot Not Flying PNF (20 hours of APS training and 20 hours of MCC training).
Duration of training
The theoretical training comprises 8 days, the practical simulator training has a scope of 11 days. In case there are more than two students doing the course the duration is extended. After having successfully passed the training each course student will get the APS MCC certificate from AEROTOURS ATO. The responsible civil aviation office (e.g. LBA, CAA) will endorse the APS MCC rating in your license.

Boeing 737-800W NG
The Boeing 737NG FNPT II MCC simulator is operated from our partner Sim4u in the Lufthansa Flight Training Center Berlin. With a full functional overhead panel, a FMC and EFIS system the simulator is ideally suited to train the MCC course at an airliner. The chart database is based on Lufthansa Systems LIDO official FMS nav data. The visual system is Full Flight Simulator Level D quality (FOV: 200 x 40 deg) RSI Raster xT Image Generator.
